The detector will consists in an array of close-packed single modules, each of them coupled to two high efficiency Hamamatsu photomultipliers. Two 12.5 kg each NaI(Tl) crystals provided by Alpha Spectra are currently taking data at the LSC. These modules have shown an outstanding light collection efficiency (12-16 phe/keV), about the double of that from DAMA/LIBRA phase 1 detectors, which could enable reducing the energy threshold down to 1 keVee. ANAIS crystal radiopurity goals are fulfilled for 232Th and 238U chains, assuming equilibrium, and in the case of 40K, present crystals activity (although not at the required 20 ppb level) could be acceptable. However, a 210Pb contamination out-of-equilibrium has been identified and its origin traced back, so we expect it will be avoided in next prototypes. Finally, current status and prospects of the experiment considering several exposure and background scenarios are presented. 000056138 536__ $$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO/Consolider-Ingenio2010-MULTI-DARK-CSD2009-00064$$9info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/ES/MINECO-FEDER/FPA2011-23749 000056138 540__ $$9info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess$$aby$$uhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/es/ 000056138 655_4 $$ainfo:eu-repo/semantics/article$$vinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-6948-5101$$aCebrian Guajardo, Susana$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0003-1190-7233$$aCuesta Soria, Clara 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-9827-2332$$aGarcía Abancens, Eduardo$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-4643-2138$$aGinestra Díaz, Carlos 000056138 700__ $$aMartínez Pérez, María Lucía 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-7025-061X$$aOliván Monge, Miguel Ángel 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-2793-7544$$aOrtigoza Paredes, Ysrael Richard 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-8278-6032$$aOrtiz De Solorzano Aurusa, Alfonso 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0003-4492-0936$$aPobes Aranda, Carlos 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0001-8732-8196$$aPuimedón Santolaria, Jorge Mario$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-7552-1228$$aSarsa Sarsa, María Luisa$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0003-0228-7589$$aVillar Rivacoba, José Ángel$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 700__ $$0(orcid)0000-0002-6519-4315$$aVillar Gómez, Patricia$$uUniversidad de Zaragoza 000056138 7102_ $$12004$$2390$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Física Teórica$$cFísica Atómica, Molecular y Nuclear 000056138 7102_ $$12002$$2647$$aUniversidad de Zaragoza$$bDepartamento de Física Aplicada$$cOptica 000056138 773__ $$g273-275 (2016), 2366-2368$$tNuclear and Particle Physics Proceedings$$x2405-6014 000056138 8564_ $$s470540$$uhttp://zaguan.unizar.es/record/56138/files/texto_completo.pdf$$yVersión publicada 000056138 8564_ $$s89783$$uhttp://zaguan.unizar.es/record/56138/files/texto_completo.jpg?subformat=icon$$xicon$$yVersión publicada 000056138 909CO $$ooai:zaguan.unizar.es:56138$$particulos$$pdriver 000056138 951__ $$a2016-09-14-10:13:06 000056138 980__ $$aARTICLE
